Problems caused by HGH deficiency

The effects of HGH deficiency are usually clear to see. Found commonly in elderly adults, but also in paediatric patients, the negative effects are wide reaching. When HGH deficiency is found in children, it causes improper bone growth and muscle development. This leads to short stature and underdeveloped muscles. HGH Deficiency usually does not begin to affect a child until the age of three years old, afterwards the child is noticeably smaller than his peers. The condition extends into adulthood, and it is often responsible for delayed puberty.

For elderly and even middle aged people, growth hormone deficiency is actually normal. Every person sees a sharp drop in levels of HGH. By the time a person is elderly they have only a very small fraction of HGH left in their bodies’. It was originally thought that HGH deficiency in elderly adults and the middle age was the result of the pituitary gland (The place in the brain HGH is made, stored and released from) becoming fatigued and no longer able to produce HGH in the same quantities. It is now known that HGH deficiency in people as they age is actually caused by a malfunction of the hypothalamus glad. The hypothalamus reads levels of different hormones in the body and stimulates the release of hormones to keep them at a normal level. In the elderly, the hypothalamus loses its ability to read levels of HGH, and does not release the necessary amount because it believes there is already enough HGH in the blood stream.

HGH deficiency in older adults has a group of symptoms which is generally referred to as the aging process. The most obvious of these is wrinkles and poor skin quality. Nearly everything in the environment around you is slowly damaging your skin, and with decreased levels of HGH it is much harder for your body to repair this damage. The same process is taking place in internal organs as well; damage is piling up and there is a lack of hormone to stimulate repair.

HGH plays a major role in homeostasis, which means keeping the body levels at an ideal place. Temperature, levels of salt, sugar and metabolism. The last if these suffers terrible from HGH deficiency. With a lower metabolism people have less energy and also put on weight faster. HGH deficiency has also been known to contribute to insomnia because homeostasis is out of balance.

Besides injections, which are costly and have negative side effects, the best way to correct HGH deficiency is with an HGH releasing supplement. This stimulates the hypothalamus into releasing HGH at levels closer to that of a younger adult, to better repair damage to the body. Replenishing levels of HGH naturally will also help spend up a slow metabolism and boost the immune system. Now that we understand aging is really just a state of HGH deficiency, it is possible to take steps to correct the problem.
