What is Somatotropin?

Somatotropin is simply a more scientific way of referring to HGH (human growth hormone) the single chained polypeptide hormone made up of 191 amino acids. Though unknown to the average person in contrast to testosterone and estrogen, Somatotropin is one of the most important substances in the human body, if not the most important. I say this because the effects of Somatotropin reach every system of the body, including metabolic rate, the nervous system, vital internal organs, muscles and the skin.

The main function of Somatotropin is to stimulate body cells into reproducing. This is necessary for a number of reasons, the first is growth. We contain more Somatotropin in our bodies ass children that at any other point in our lives; the reason for this is obvious, we are growing and developing at a rapid rate. Body cells need to multiply for growth to be possible. As we get older, the amount of Somatotropin in our bodies understandably drops. Unfortunately we also need a certain level of Somatotropin in our blood stream for cells to multiply at a fast enough rate to repair all of the damage our bodies take from the surrounding environment. Beginning in middle age our bodies do not meet this basic Somatotropin requirement and therefore we cannot produce enough new body cells to keep our bodies functioning optimally; this is called cellular deficit. The effects of long term cellular deficit are clear to see in most elderly people; skin becomes wrinkled and discolored, hair grays, posture weakens and muscle tone and mass decrease. These are just the effects of lacking Somatotropin that we can see with the eye, internal organs and other body systems are suffering as well.

Somatotropin also plays a very important role in maintaining the body's homeostasis, which means its constant, ideal state. Homeostasis extends to body temperature, hydration, levels of vitamins and minerals, hormones, waste expulsion, and metabolism. The last one may be of particular importance to you, to lack in Somatotropin is usually accompanied by metabolism slowing substantially, which is why many people more easily put on weight in their later years. Other than that, to not be maintaining proper homeostasis can have a wide range of very negative effects on your health.

Somatotropin is needed to stimulate the secretion of other hormones as well, like testosterone, estrogen, progesterone and IGF-1. IGF-1 stands for insulin-like growth factor, and like Somatotropin also plays a role in cellular regeneration. IGF-1 controls regulated cell death; when a body cell has been active for long enough, an internal "timer" goes off and the cell dies. The reason for this is that the longer a cell is alive the more likely it is to become damage and pick up imperfections. The body cell will pass on these damages and imperfections to all future body cells which divide from it.

Boosting levels of Somatotropin have two applications (other than correcting growth deficiencies in children). You might increase the body's Somatotropin for anti aging purposes, or to boost athletic performance a physique. Both of these are valid uses for it, though the method you chose to do this by should be very carefully considered. The fastest way to increase the Somatotropin in your body is by simply injecting yourself with synthetically manufactured hormones. The positive effects of this are felt almost immediately and can be seen soon after, but the negative effects catch up with the body in the long run. Joint pain and fluid retention are the first negative effects of Somatotropin injection, and this can later develop into arthritis. Cases of hypertension have developed after regular Somatotropin injection sessions as well. The ideal dose of Somatotropin for injection is not certain, and using too much can result in acromegaly, which is a deformation caused by accelerated and abnormal bone and cartilage growth. Another thing to consider is the fact that when you receive hormones from an external source over a long period of time, the gland responsible for producing it (in this case the pituitary gland) becomes incapable of secreting the hormone because it has been inactive for so long. You may very well become dependent on the injections for Somatotropin. The other option is to regularly take [link][link]HGH pill[/link]s[/link], or a GHR (growth hormone releaser). These stimulate the body to produce more Somatotropin rather than receiving it from an external source. On the downside it takes much longer to see or feel any results because you need to digest the capsule, wait for the pituitary to produce the extra Somatotropin, then wait for it to be released and to start affecting body systems. On the plus side it is much safer, having no negative side effects, and it is much, much cheaper than the injections.

i read that its not aviesdd to take l-arginine until 5 years after you stop growing. 500mg is not much. 10-30g is what will give you serious results
