The supplement is made with a pure 20:1 Hoodia extract, and that is the only ingredient. Many other Hoodia supplements being offered contain either useless filler (like magnesium) to reduce the cost of producing the capsule, or contain another type of appetite suppressant (like green tea), which is cheaper to produce as well. The problem with using green tea with Hoodia is that green tea is a stimulant and ruins one of the best qualities of Hoodia, the fact it has no side effects. There is only one listing on the ingredients of Cloud Nine Hoodia, and that is pure South African Hoodia.

At first glance, the site does not mention anything about a CITES certificate, which aroused my suspicions. A CITES certificate is needed to export Hoodia from South Africa, and companies which don't have one are usually selling fake Hoodia. After talking to a customer service rep I was sent a copy of their CITES which proved to me that they are selling legally harvested Hoodia Gordonii. As you most likely know, Hoodia is an appetite suppressant and can be very effective, though it takes a larger amount of it to have the desired effect on the human body. Most Hoodia capsules offer 400mg per serving size (and not always 400mg of pure Hoodia); Cloud Nine Hoodia offers double that, and is the only company offering 800mg per serving size of pure Hoodia. Impressively they are not selling it at a higher price than most of their competitors.

For strong appetite suppression to help you with your diet I would recommend Cloud Nine Hoodia over any other Hoodia product, whether it be a supplement or liquid. It would be hard to find this much pure hoodia extract at this price anywhere else.

Wed, 11 Feb 2009 13:58:29 -0700http://www.thinkherbals.com/hoodia/reviews/hoodia-chaser-extract.htmlHoodia Chaser Extract
If you missed the 60 Minutes program, the program described Hoodia as a small, succulent plant that grows only in the remote region of the South African Kalahari Desert. There, the indigenous San Bushmen have eaten the plan for centuries, to stave off hunger during their long and arduous hunting trips.

This small plant looks like a dill pickle with spines on it. It grows slowly in its harsh environment, and takes four or five years, or more, before it is ready to harvest.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa, joined forces with the South African San Council. They agreed to work together on the usage of indigenous plants for the benefit of both parties. They also committed themselves to the conservation of natural resources.

Because of tremendous worldwide demand for the Hoodia plant, it has become endangered by over-harvesting. Now, certification is required to prove that the product is authentic Hoodia Gordonii.

Real Hoodia Gordonii only grows in the semi-arid desert of South Africa – not in China, or Mexico, or the United States. With Hoodia Chaser you can be assured of getting the real, organic Hoodia ingredient. That’s because our Hoodia is approved by the Western Cape Conservation Authority of South Africa, and is certified to be 100% authentic.
Wed, 11 Feb 2009 13:58:29 -0700
