Recent Resveratrol Research

Resveratrol studies are the hottest new research in the health field. Though there are pharmaceutical companies looking to synthesize the substance, some of the best resveratrol research has led to a natural extract, like that found in Resveratrol Select. For a long time scientists and the medical community have known about the health benefits of red wine, but only recently have they identified resveratrol as the source in red wine that produces all these benefits. Resveratrol research now concludes that the compound in red wine, resveratrol, is the key to all the benefits we desire.

Resveratrol research was conducted in lab studies on mice and the report on these studies was released a year ago. Resveratrol studies showed that overfed mice that were given doses of resveratrol did not gain weight in spite of the caloric increase in their diets. Furthermore, these mice developed trim and fit physiques equivalent to an Olympic marathon runner. The conclusion of these resveratrol studies indicates that resveratrol. Has the effect of eating a low calorie diet without actually reducing the number of calories you eat.

Long term scientific studies have shown that a low calorie diet decreases incidents of heart disease, lowers blood sugar, lowers levels of cholesterol, increases energy and stamina, slows the aging process, and even protects one from certain cancers. Resveratrol research confirms that resveratrol has these same incredible effects! In other words, resveratrol research indicates that you can now get the benefit of a low calorie diet without actually decreasing your caloric intake.

For a long time doctors and scientists have known that red wine is good for your health. Studies that focused on the French diet showed that although the French generally consume more calories than American, they have a longer life span and fewer cases of heart disease, age-related diseases, and even cancer than Americans. This phenomenon has been attributed to red wine. Now through resveratrol studies we know that the compound resveratrol, found in the skins of red grapes and preserved in the wine-making process, is the agent that produces all these benefits.

Resveratrol research confirmed this when lab mice were given resveratrol to test the effects of resveratrol against various factors including a high calorie diet. Resveratrol is fairly new, however, so resveratrol studies now need to be conducted on humans. There are numerous reports that resveratrol has the same effect on humans that it had on the lab mice, but these reports need to be studied in scientifically monitored labs to be confirmed. Nonetheless, resveratrol studies are gaining momentum as the general population and the medical community alike are very excited about the findings of resveratrol research.
